KOBA Korean BBQ

Welcome to KOBA Korean BBQ, a vibrant gem nestled at 460 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10016. This captivating spot intertwines the rich culinary heritage of Korea with the hustle and bustle of New York City, creating an unforgettable dining experience. As a food reviewer, I find it essential to highlight the heartbeat of any restaurant—its dishes—and KOBA certainly does not disappoint.

At KOBA, the menu is an adventure through modern Korean cuisine. Here, you can savor dishes like the KOBA RaMyun (spicy ramyun with pork and kimchi) for just $18.00, or the delectable Korean Fried Chicken, available in original, honey butter, or spicy, all for $15.00. The TteokBokki (spicy rice cakes) and the succulent PaJeon (pancakes) steal the show, ensuring that every bite is a flavorful reminder of Korean culinary traditions.

  • BiBimBap: A traditional dish that combines rice, fresh vegetables, and a protein of your choice, all topped with a sunny side up egg and gochujang for an extra kick. Priced at $20.00, it’s truly a delightful meal that showcases the essence of Korean flavors.
  • Open Kitchen Concept: The ambiance is further heightened by the open kitchen, allowing diners to witness the artistry of food preparation. This transparency creates a welcoming atmosphere as you can see the chefs at work, ensuring that fresh ingredients are transformed into mouth-watering dishes.

The charm of KOBA Korean BBQ extends beyond its menu. Diners have raved about the friendly and accommodating staff, noting their genuine hospitality. Many have expressed appreciation for the generous portions and the reasonable prices, especially considering the vibrant atmosphere of midtown Manhattan. Customers like Eugene Frazier have called KOBA “superb,” highlighting the excellent service and the appetizing menu. These sentiments echo throughout numerous reviews, showcasing a consistent dedication to quality and guest satisfaction.

Beyond just the food, KOBA serves as a community hub. The exceptional service leaves diners feeling like family, where servers remember faces and make you feel at home. The mixture of traditional dishes with a modern twist, coupled with attentive staff, creates a space suitable for both intimate dinners and large gatherings.

If you're craving authentic Korean flavors in New York City, look no further than KOBA Korean BBQ. As one satisfied customer remarked, “It’s perfect!” With unique offerings, welcoming service, and a vibrant setting, it’s a culinary journey that deserves a spot on your foodie radar.

Love, love, love Koba! Freshly prepared Korean food and VERY reasonably priced menu for the generous portions of Korean food!! Gracious service, open kitchen, and ample seating for a healthy lunch and/or dinner. We visited the Murray Hill location on 31st and Park. Please give it a try and bring your family and friends! You will be glad you did!!!

Good, plentiful food at a very reasonable price for midtown, with long opening hours and open on the weekend. Nice seating—they care about their decor even though it’s a fast casual spot. They also have a generous set of discounts for students, military, etc. great service—quick, friendly, and the chef even came out to check on everything with each table on a Saturday afternoon. The need bulgogi was good and came in huge portions. The plates are nice, with 3 banchan and two sides. I wish they had japchae for banchan, or kimchi cucumbers—they only have cabbage or squash kimchi. Decent selection of beverages—some Korean soft drinks, and basic sodas and seltzer. The food was fresh but still ready within 10 minutes.

Koba Korean BBQ in NYC offers a fantastic dining experience, but the true standout is Chef Francesco. His expert grilling and creative twist on traditional Korean BBQ made every dish delicious. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the quality was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-tier Korean BBQ in the city!
